King Stephen the Banded Mullet

Based on one of my illustration from my own version of '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea', i made a banded mullet. I started with a wire skeleton then used mod roc to make a more solid shape. After that had dried, i ripped apart a Stephen King novel (which is why this fish is called King Stephen...), and used pva glue to cover it. I cut out a lot of circles to make scales, and to make the fins and tail, i sewed two pieces of paper together, making one pleated and overlapping. Very happy with the result!

New project; Homage to Books

For this project, i'm focussing on the book '20,000 Leagues Under the Sea' by Jules Verne. One of my outcomes is a diary of the journey. I took one of my dads old books and recreated my own version of the Jules Verne cover. I have illustrated lots of pictures of the animals and plants that Professor Aronnax saw on his journey round the world and labelled them according to where they were seen. I have also put dates and diary entries in as if it's the Professor's own diary.
